The Construction Owners Association of America (COAA) just held its fall conference in Denver with PMWeb as a proud partner. While some conferences may have attendees seeing what the city has to offer, the COAA Owners and Associates take an extra step by seeing what they can offer the city with the COAA Cares initiative.

During the COAA Connect Fall 2022, 64 bikes were assembled by the COAA conference attendees in partnership with Wish for Wheels. This effort was further supported by PMWeb, which generously donated a 50-inch smart television to the school. Bobby Brown and Craig Hansen of PMWeb were lucky to be part of this conference group of caring construction industry professionals who built the bikes. Then on November 17th, the second-grade students at University Prep in Denver welcomed these bikes. Each student received a brand-new helmet with their bike.

A message from the dean of operations at University Prep

The dean of operations at University Prep, Olga Rico-Gutierrez, commented “thank you on behalf of our Class of 2037 scholars at U Prep Steele Street. They [the students] were so very excited about their brand-new bikes and helmets.  The smiles on their faces were priceless.  I would also like to thank PMWeb for their generosity of providing our school with a brand new 50-inch television.  Our leadership is already brainstorming ideas for its use.  We are truly grateful to have shared this experience with all of you.  We so appreciate your time and efforts to make this day super special for our scholars, their families, and our staff.”

COAA Cares

This initiative was created as part of the COAA Cares Project. The goal is for members of the COAA to build something at their bi-annual conferences to donate to the local community. At the Spring 2022 conference in Baltimore, MD, PMWeb sponsored the COAA initiative in building a Happy Wheels cart. The cart was donated to the Ronald McDonald House Maryland and Kennedy Krieger Institute.
