Owner-Operators Redefining Capital Project Excellence honored at 2026 Project Empowerment Awards

SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 12, 2026 — PMWEB announced the winners of the 2026 Project Empowerment Awards at its annual awards ceremony held at the Projections Conference on April 30 in San Diego. Eleven organizations were recognized, selected from a field of more than 30 finalists representing some of the most complex capital programs in the world.

The 2026 Project Empowerment Award Winners

The Project Empowerment Awards recognize owner-operators and project enablers whose work is good for the world, good for their customers, and a model for the industry. This year’s class spans financial services, infrastructure, public sector, real estate, healthcare, and hospitality.

Continuous Improvement: UC Davis Health

UC Davis Health claimed the Continuous Improvement award for an organization that treats its capital program platform the same way it treats medicine: with rigor, evidence, and a commitment to always getting better. UC Davis Health’s ongoing investment in platform expertise and process improvement has made it a benchmark for healthcare capital program management.

Launch of the Year: UMass Chan Medical School

UMass Chan Medical School earned Launch of the Year for enabling the university to manage growth and modernize its facilities in service of its patients and research mission by successfully deploying PMWEB across its capital program operations.

Excellence on a Global Scale: Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs was recognized for Excellence on a Global Scale, reflecting a sustained commitment to consistent, enterprise-grade project information management across a complex global portfolio of capital assets.

Implementation of the Year: Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)

Los Angeles World Airports received the Implementation of the Year award for supporting major infrastructure projects in preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games, one of the most complex public-sector capital portfolios in the world, by successfully implementing PMWEB workflows and reporting across the plan, build, and operate lifecycle.

Intelligent Integrations: City of Austin

City of Austin won the Intelligent Integrations award for enabling centralized control across its capital program through PMWEB integrations with existing enterprise systems, including the city’s homegrown data protection software. These integrations streamline workflows and improve accountability for the community it serves.

New Horizons: AJ Capital

AJ Capital received the New Horizons award for achieving tenfold portfolio growth since adopting PMWEB, with the platform serving as the foundation for streamlined cost management and due diligence across new investment acquisitions.

Community Development: Art-Invest

Art-Invest earned the Community Development recognition for using PMWEB to plan, build, and manage residential and mixed-use communities across Vienna, Dusseldorf, and Berlin, creating exceptional places where people live, work, and belong.

Infrastructure Leaders: Orange County Sanitation District

Orange County Sanitation District received the Public Sector Leadership award for delivering critical public infrastructure with control and accountability, and for years of active contributions to the capital projects community through their expertise in lifecycle project management and sharing PMWEB best practices.

Experience Makers: Universal Destinations and ​Experiences

Universal Destinations and ​Experiences was recognized as Experience Makers for delivering and expanding world-class guest experiences, with the total program control that entertainment and hospitality at scale demand. Universal’s Epic Park in Orlando, Florida, which opened in May 2025, was recognized as a landmark in the company’s long history of delivering epic guest experiences.

Project Enablers: Parsons

Parsons earned the Project Enablers award for enabling real estate development and supporting complex capital programs globally, accelerating value for owner-operators as a trusted Capital Programs Management partner.

Project of the Year: San Diego International Airport

San Diego International Airport claimed Project of the Year for its Terminal 1 expansion, a $3B+ infrastructure program that will transform one of the nation’s busiest regional airports and improve the travel experience for millions of passengers.
