Mike Carmichael is a seasoned construction professional with over 30 years of experience spanning the full spectrum of construction and project management. His career includes leadership roles such as Superintendent, Project Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Estimating Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, and Project Controls Manager. He currently serves as the Program Manager – Controls for the Airport Design & Construction Division at San Diego International Airport, where he leads program-wide controls, performance oversight, and strategic delivery. Known for his depth of expertise and collaborative approach, Mike brings a practical, systems‑focused perspective to advancing complex capital programs.
Dianna Murchison
Project Controls Manager
University of North Texas
As the Project Controls Manager in the Strategic Infrastructure, Planning & Construction department, Dianna serves as the lead administrator for PMWEB. The University of North Texas System implemented in 2017 with a small group for major capital projects and has since expanded use to all 3 campuses' facilities groups, leveraging the planning & cost modules heavily to manage all projects, from small renovations to major capital projects. Under Dianna’s leadership, the team continually explores ways to expand their use of PMWEB to improve efficiencies, break down silos and streamline processes across several user groups.
Sameera Shaikh
Business Analyst III
City of Oakland
Sameera Shaikh is a Business Analyst III with the City of Oakland, where she leads technology initiatives supporting Oakland Public Works and the Department of Transportation. With over 16 years of experience across organizations including Accenture, Baltimore Gas and Electric, and the University of California, she specializes in enterprise software implementation and public sector technology transformation. She is actively involved in nonprofit and community initiatives, including volunteering with local Charities, and enjoys traveling with a personal goal of visiting all seven continents while spending time with family.
Emily Logan
Senior Project Manager, Planning Design & Construction
Boston University
Emily Logan, Senior Project Manager for Planning Design & Construction (PDC) at Boston University, has been with the University for 8 years and in project management within Higher Education for 12 years. Wentworth Institute of Technology graduate with a BA in Interior Design, she has a focus on interior renovations. Emily manages a diverse portfolio of projects across campus, overseeing design and construction of tenant fit-out offices, classrooms, dining, health services, and anything in between. She has been a proponent for BU’s project management system enhancements, and is a leader in the advancement of BU PDC’s project process and delivery methods.

Clint Saavedra is the Director of Franchise Real Estate Development for Whataburger, where he leads real estate strategy, capital planning and new-store growth across multiple markets. With deep experience in construction, site selection, and cost management, Clint works closely with franchisees, developers, and internal teams to bring new locations to market efficiently while balancing brand standards, operational needs, and financial discipline. Known for his data-driven approach and collaborative leadership style, he plays a key role in advancing Whataburger’s long-term growth strategy.
