Stonemark Construction Management
OVERVIEW
Established in 1997, Stonemark has offices in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, CA. Their principals have over 35 years of experience managing all facets of design and construction.
Stonemark offers a full range of design and construction management services including planning, preconstruction, construction, assessment, defect analysis, and repair. Additionally, they provide green buildings for various types of projects including custom home and residential estates, commercial, sacred spaces, and homeowner associations.
CHALLENGE
Stonemark Construction Management was looking for a software tool that would assist in tracking project cost, budget forecasting, document management, and collaboration on both unique and special projects. Stonemark was using Procore, but indicated a need for better configurability, while still maintaining ease of use for both internal and external project participants. Stonemark also required that the software solution be able to integrate with other ERP systems in a combined multi-solution implementation.
SOLUTION
Stonemark selected PMWeb in conjunction with Sage and GC Pay as their integrated software solution portfolio. A specialized “Quick Start “ approach was utilized focusing on basic module configuration with workflow process automation. PMWeb incorporated training on these features for the Stonemark internal team, enabling them to provide their organization with more advanced customization and workflow implementation. In addition, once engaged in implementation, Stonemark elected to also incorporate Sage integration into the implementation scope.
RESULTS AND BENEFITS
The integrated project team worked together configuring PMWeb and developing custom reports, many of which were manually produced prior to BI Report development. PMWeb provided a “Train the Trainer” approach and the team utilized base Dr. Explain files to develop custom user guides for their user base. A phased end-user training approach was adopted and the team rolled out training by project groupings. Stonemark went live with end-users in July of 2017 and full integration between all software systems was put into use in September 2017.
