The hospital is widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest hospitals and medical institutions. It was ranked by U.S. News & World Report news magazine as the best overall hospital in America for 21 consecutive years (1991–2011).

CHALLENGE

HKA implemented PMWeb for the Johns Hopkins University’s Design and Construction group to help manage their large campus building projects in tracking costs and construction activities. This led to Johns Hopkins Health deciding to adopt PMWeb for managing projects on their hospital system.

SOLUTION

The University’s Design and Construction group originally implemented in 2012. The focus was to implement a tool that would help their large campus building projects in tracking costs and construction activities. Because of the successful use of the tool by that team, Johns Hopkins Health also decided to adopt PMWeb in 2016 for managing projects on their hospital system.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS

The use of the system by both groups has grown to over 300 users consistently managing $50M+ in Capital Improvement projects each year.

“JHU is currently running over 150 projects and moving hundreds of millions of dollars through PMWeb. We clearly put the product through its paces. We run brief training sessions with each contractor and are clear that they are to make submittals and RFIs through the software. It has been invaluable having all of our documents, figures and reporting located in one proficient program. We appreciate the closed feedback loop of PMWeb and have seen many of our suggestions included as enhancements in successive versions. Upgrades are always easy and scheduled around our needs. In short, we are very satisfied PMWeb customers.”
